Odile Marie Simoneaux Babin passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11,2023 at 2:15 AM at her home in Sorrento, she was 89. She was born on Saturday, January 27 ,1934
She was a resident of Sorrento, la. and a native of Pierre Part LA. She loved being at home cooking and baking for her family. She loved visits and drinking coffee with her family and friends during their visits.
She is survived by her 2 daughters Dorra Dale Salassi, and Danette Melancon Becnel and husband Dennis Becnel, 2 sons Herman Melancon Jr. and Bryan Smith and wife Kim Smith; grandchildren, Steve and Mathew Bercegeay, Misty Olivier, Ashley, Eddie, Michael and Grace smith, Dena Becnel Sutton, Kenher and Henleigh Melancon; great grandchildren Erica Papa, Kyla and Ethan Sutton
She is preceded in death by her parents Noah Simoneaux and Lorena Gauthreaux Simoneaux 4 brothers Gibson, Harry, Joe and Edward Simoneaux, 3 sisters Rosalie Cambre, Rita Vicknair, and Theresa Guitreau 3 grandsons Dwayne Joesph Becnel, Samuel and Bryan Smith
Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with funeral service to follow at 11:00 at First Baptist Church, Head of Island 19114 Highway 22, Maurepas, LA 70769 on Thursday June 15,2023
Pallbearers will be Dennis Becnel, Jed Leblanc, Ethan Sutton, Steve and Mathew Bercegeay, and Bryan Smith and honorable pallbearer Herman Melancon Jr
The family would like to give a special thanks to hospice in his care and a big thanks and love to her niece Vallrie Lemoine for all the love and care she has given her though out her time of illness.
