Gonzales, LA - It is With heavy hearts, we celebrate the beautiful life of Nell Marie Thomassie Bercegeay. Nell gained her angel wings on July 22, 2026. A beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend.

She was a woman of unwavering faith whose love for God guided every part of her life. She lived with grace, kindness and compassion. She was the heart of her family. Always putting everyone before herself.

Nell is preceded in death by her husband Constant Bercegeay Jr, Her parents Percy Thomassie and Isabell Morvant, Her siblings Jane Rouyea & Perry Thomassie, along with her son Craig Bercegeay Sr.

She is survived by her three beautiful daughters, Nona (Terry Sr.) Lambert, Jenny Bercegeay & Wanda (Ray Jr.) LaBauve.

Nell is survived by her sibling Josie (Will) Brian & Charles Thomassie.

Nell's legacy continues through her grandchildren Trish LeBlanc, Amanda (Darryl)Braud, Christina Bercegeay, Lana (Rob)Taylor, Terry (Rebecca)Lambert Jr, Bill Lambert, Brian Pankey, Nina (Allen)McDowell, Lil Ray (Tabatha)LaBauve III, Craig (Amber)Bercegeay Jr.

Her great grandchildren were her source of pride and happiness-Lance LeBlanc, Savannah (Michael)Huynh, Jadynn Duhe, Harlie Duhe, Kourtney Braud, Katie Braud, Maddison Lambert, Hunter Lambert, Shelbi Lambert, Amelia Taylor, Lane Lambert, Emma Lambert, Logan Lambert, Ray LaBauve IV, Lexi Millien, Kimmy Rouyea, Carsen Bercegeay, Jude Bercegeay, Baylin (Kyli) Wyatt, Isabella Wyatt & Makenzie Wyatt.

Great great grandchildren are Kian Huyhn, Dustin Wyatt & Stella Wyatt

Nell's life stands as a beacon of love, devotion, and kindness. She leaves an enduring legacy in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love for God was evident in the way she cared for everyone around her. Her passions were listening to her favorite bands and dancing, playing card games (especially Bingo), camping under the stars, spending time with family and friends, riding horses, carefully crafting rosaries, and her love for church.
