Nancy Ann Melancon Norton

Nancy Ann Melancon Norton, a lifelong resident of Sorrento, LA, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, April 9, 2023, at the age of 75.  Beloved wife of Gilbert Norton and loving mother of Jason Norton.  Sister of Gail Brignac (Launey), Lionel Melancon, Sr. (Candice), Randy Melancon, Eric Melancon, Sr., and Brian Melancon (Stacie).  Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends. Nancy was an active member of Sorrento Baptist Church and loved attending services.  She taught a Sunday School class there for many years.  She enjoyed sewing and doing needlework such as embroidery and crochet.  Many people Enjoyed the fruits of her labor through her gifts of quilts and afghans.  Nancy loved her family and always did her best to help them in any way she could.  She will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Sorrento Baptist Church on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 9AM until 11AM.  The Memorial Service will begin at 11AM.  Interment to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Prairieville, LA.
