Monica S. Boudreaux, 66, was called home to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, surrounded peacefully by her loved ones.
Born on May 6, 1958, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Monica was a devoted wife, mother, Grammy, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, cousin, and friend to many. She had a deep love for fishing and treasured time spent at her fishing camp. Monica also enjoyed cooking, caring for her flower beds, and gathering with family and friends. Most of all, she loved her 4 granddaughters who were the light of her eyes and her whole heart.
She is survived by her children, Gabe (spouse) Boudreaux and Magen (Kirk) Powell; and her beloved beautiful granddaughters, Alana & Ivy Boudreaux and Alyssa & Paisley Powell. She also leaves behind her loving sister, Tammy (Jimmy) Charbonnet; her brothers-in-law, Ricky (Patty), Jeffery (Melanie), Todd (Jessica) Boudreaux, Dennis Haynes, and Kevin (Kim) Landry; along with numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Monica was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Gary Boudreaux Jr.; her parents, V.J. & Margaret Sanchez and Dot Moody; her father-in-law, Gary Boudreaux Sr.; mother-in-law, Beverly Boudreaux; her beloved sisters, including her twin, Mona Bercegeay, and Darla Landry; her sister-in-law, Gwen Boudreaux; and her brother-in-law, Ernie Bercegeay.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, Louisiana, from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Kirk Powell, Jared “Boo” Bercegeay, Austin Landry, Bart Lambert, Gabe and Ricky Boudreaux. Honorary pallbearer will be Baker Bercegeay.
