Miriam H. Calvey

With much sadness, on Monday morning, April 27, 2026 at 9:30 we lost Miriam, a beautiful Lady. She was 101 plus 9 days old. She was born and raised in New Orleans, LA and a long time resident of Denham Springs, LA.

She loved to work and called herself a "Career Girl" and a loving “Mother”. She was proud to say she retired 3 times.

She had 3 daughters: Linda (deceased 3/2026), Catherine and Jeanette (deceased 5/2023). She had a Grandson, James Daniel Wyble and Great Grandson, James Monroe Wyble, who have survived her along with her daughter, Catherine and many New Orleans relatives. Miriam also had close family friends, Constance Garcia and Tammy Carruth who she referred to as daughters.

She was a devoted LSU Tiger fan and a New Orleans Saints fan.

She will be missed terribly by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Livingston Parish Council on Aging in Miriam's name.
