Michael Lloyd Comeaux
Michael Lloyd Comeaux, age 71, passed away on July 4, 2023, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family.
Mike was born on October 15, 1951, in Abbeville, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his parents Maude Vincent Comeaux and Lloyd Comeaux, and his mother-in-law Lona “Toni” Bourque.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Cathy Comeaux; siblings Catherine Valenzuela (spouse Michael), Patrick Comeaux (spouse Eugenie), Judith Comeaux, and Anthony Comeaux (spouse Angela); daughters Katina Devine (spouse Martin) and Rachele Comeaux (spouse Jonathan); and grandson Christopher Sorrel (spouse Amy). Mike was also a soon-to-be great-grandfather to baby Cole.
As a hard-working, respected veteran of the oil field for over 40 years, Mike was fortunate to travel to many parts of the world. He brought home souvenirs and shared stories of his countless adventures.
Long-time residents of Delcambre, Louisiana, he and Cathy spent the early years of their retirement in their adopted home state of Tennessee where he loved looking at the mountains from his back porch, driving his beloved Corvette and Gold Wing along the winding roads and hiking many beautiful trails. A perpetual jokester, Mike was an endless source of entertainment to family and friends, he also never met a stranger.
Because of his unwavering love and loyalty for his family and friends, he will leave an unfillable hole in our hearts and keep a treasured place in our memories.
Services will be at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Delcambre, Louisiana, on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. Visitation begins at 11 a.m., Rosary recitation at 12 p.m., Mass at 1 p.m., burial to follow.
