Michael D. Gaulden, 60, of Baton Rouge passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on December 8, 1965 in Winnsboro, Louisiana. Mike was the son of the late Mackie Gaulden, Vera Holaway and step father George Holaway. He attended Baker High School and went on to become an Operator for Enterprise Products. Throughout his life, Mike was deeply known for his love for his children and grandchildren, as well as his passion for entertaining outdoors.
Mike found happiness in the simple, unforgettable moments in life: sitting in the stands, cheering on his children at sporting events, celebrating their victories, and offering encouragement. As the years passed, he watched with pride as they grew into adults where they gave him his favorite title, Pops. Becoming a grandfather was one of the greatest honors of his life, he treasured every visit, story, celebration, and milestone.
He will be remembered for the unwavering love he gave, the pride he took in his family, and the quiet ways he made those around him feel supported.
Mike is survived by his wife of almost 40 years Natalie Gaulden, his three children: Emily and Matt Hull, Erin and Jessie Whitstine, and Corey and Melissa Gaulden, his four grandchildren: Addilyn, Aubrey, Landon, and Davie, mother Vera Holaway, sister Michelle and Chris Perez, niece Ella, sister-in-law Melissa and Brad White, nephews Mason and Makayla Miller, Jake and Sydney Miller, brother-in-law Michael A. and Chloe McCleary, nephew Lane, niece Fiona and many beloved extended family members, including aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
