Michael Lane Alford passed away peacefully at home on June 26, 2025. Mike was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on August 16, 1957 and lived here all his life. Mike enjoyed collecting many things; from music of many genres to Native American art and culture. And of course, he loved his Mustang which he named "Trigger" after Roy Rodger's horse. Mike also loved the old television programs and had a vast movie collection. "Fine Corvettes" were a passion for him.
The two most precious people in the world to Mike were his daddy and momma, and he has missed them greatly. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Lane Alford, his mother, Addie Belle Alford and our loving grandmother, "MoMo" who lived in the family home until her passing. Mike also had a brother, Lane, who sadly passed away as a child before Mike was born.
Mikes very special lifelong friends, Danny Prescott and David Voss, and his cousin, Paul Vidacovich will miss him greatly and as a family we are grateful for their help and for their great care for Mike all these years.
Mike is also survived by cousins, Charles Louis Harris, Roger "Rocky" Harris, Mary Alice Poston, Carolyn Belle Wilcsinszky, Diane Pearle Cummings, and Ruth Anne Farnum, and a large following of 2nd and 3rd cousins. Our hearts will miss Mike and he will remain in our memory forever.
A private family service was held at Greenoaks Memorial Park Cemetery where he was buried with his family.
