Melva A. Neuenfeldt Bell, age 94, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Born on May 17, 1931, in Saginaw, Michigan, Melva lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and love for her family and community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Evelyn Neuenfeldt; her siblings Duane, James, Robert, Frederick, and Louise Neuenfeldt; her beloved husband, William A. Bell; and her grandson, Michael Di Vincenti.

Melva is survived by her children, William F. Bell and Bonnie Di Vincenti-Kennerly (James Kennerly); her grandchildren, Marlana Di Vincenti (Marcus Donaldson), Jonathan Bell (Eichelle Bell), and Laura Bell; and five great-grandchildren, Maci Bell, Bentley Bell, Beckett Bell, Milly Donaldson Di Vincenti, and Emory Bell, and sister, Bonnie Miller. 

Melva worked as a beautician and was known for her warm spirit and gentle touch. She was deeply committed to serving others, volunteering for the deaf community and dedicating countless hours to her church. Her love for cooking and caring for her children and grandchildren was a reflection of her nurturing heart and selfless nature.

She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her generous heart, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished.

A private memorial service will be held by the family on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 11AM, at Family of Faith Baptist Church, to honor her life and memory.
