Matthew Wade Kivett

  Matthew Wade Kivett AKA Matt/M. Kiv. passed away early Monday morning, June 29, 2026. He was born on June 21, 1970 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and raised in Gonzales, Louisiana where he resided much of his life. He was a veteran of the National Guard and worked in the music industry for 25+years, lastly for Malaco Music Group. He was an avid music lover and promoter. Upon his death, he was working in the food and beverage industry.

   He is proceeded in death by father, William Taylor Kivett, mother, NancyJeannette Kivett and brother Lynnwood Paul Kivett. He is survived by a brother William Taylor Kivett Jr. aka Tad, two sisters, Robin Melancon and Nanette Kivett. He was especially proud and close with his two nieces, Charlston Jeanette Bourgeois and Taylor René Melancon and his nephew Timothy Ian Marchand and his dog, Mary.

 In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association. There will be a celebration of his life for all friends and family late August this year and it will be posted on social media.
