Mary Helen Lejeune, a resident of Baton Rouge for nearly 80 years, born February 1, 1928, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 6. She was a graduate of Opelousas High, she attended Grand Coteau for a year and then entered training at OLOL School of Nursing where she became a registered nurse. She loved and was respected in her chosen profession as an RN until she retired at the age of 70. She is preceded in death by John Lejeune, her husband of over 71 years and one son Michael. She is survived by two sons, David and his wife, Ginger; and Daniel; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She enjoyed so much being a member of the Lunch Bunch for over 18 years. The celebration of her life will be held at St James Episcopal Church, 205 N. 4th Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70801, on Thursday, June 13. Visitation from 11am to 12pm. Service and interment to follow.
