Bill was born in Billings, Montana, to Nora and M.W. "Billy" Rodier, III. He graduated from Billings West High School in 1981. He also served his country in the U.S. Air Force's Pacific Air Forces Elite Guard, where he managed operations supporting senior military leaders, dignitaries, and presidential missions. Following his military service, Bill went back to school and earned an Associate Degree in Security Technologies, a Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing, and a Master's Degree in International Business. He then held executive positions in private industry and real estate development before taking on leadership roles with Louisiana Economic Development and the Louisiana Workforce Commission. In May 2013, he became the Executive Director and CEO of St. Landry Economic Development.

For more than a decade, he helped lead transformational projects that strengthened communities, created opportunities, and inspired growth throughout Acadiana and Louisiana. His leadership, vision, and commitment to service left a lasting impact on countless lives.

Bill believed deeply in investing in people. Whether mentoring young professionals, guiding community leaders, or encouraging students to pursue their potential, he generously shared his time, wisdom, and heart.

Bill was also known for his personal discipline and determination. He was an accomplished Iron Man, Xterra long-distance triathlete, and endurance swimmer who achieved exclusive recognition as an "All World Athlete" by Iron Man. He also loved motorcycles and earned his AMA amateur road racing license during his 50s. In addition, Bill was a Master Scuba Diver Trainer. He loved professional speaking engagements and created videos about his life journey. He was known for his motto of always being "positive, proactive, and relying on your faith". Bill was also in the process of writing two books as an aspiring author.

Through every challenge—including his courageous battle with cancer—he demonstrated extraordinary strength, resilience, and faith.

Of all his achievements, Bill was most proud of his family. He was a devoted husband to Stacie and a loving father to Brady and Caroline.

Bill's life reminds us that true success is measured not by titles earned, but by lives impacted. His legacy of leadership, service, perseverance, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Well done, Bill. You ran the race with courage, purpose, and grace.
