Martin Grady Harrison, 77, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025.

Born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on April 13, 1948, Martin spent much of his life in Michigan before finding his true home in Denham Springs, Louisiana.

Martin worked as an Operations Manager for Honeywell, where his dedication, steady leadership, and strong work ethic earned the respect of many. Outside of his career, he was a man who found joy in the simple things—an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, a skilled hand who enjoyed working on cars, and someone always ready to fix anything that was broken, whether it was a machine or a moment.

He especially cherished hunting with his grandson Trenton Harrison and was one of the proudest fans in the stands, always supporting his grandchildren, Trenton and Drew, in their school sports. Martin had a special place in his heart for his granddaughter Drew, the first and only girl in the family, and their bond was something truly treasured. He also looked forward to every opportunity to hunt and fish with his brothers, Kenneth and George, creating lifelong memories in the great outdoors. Martin always enjoyed listening to his youngest son, Taylor, play music and was constantly amazed by his musical talents.

Martin’s love for his three sons was like no other—he was always involved in their lives, ready to offer advice, support, and encouragement. He was the best father a son could ever have: steady, devoted, wise, and endlessly loving. His pride in them was unwavering, and his presence in their lives was a constant source of strength.

He was a man who always put others before himself and found greater joy in giving than receiving. His quiet generosity touched countless lives. A faithful, longtime member of the Church of Christ, Martin lived his life guided by his beliefs, and his faith was evident in the way he treated others—with kindness, humility, and love.

He is survived by his loving wife, Katie Harrison; his former wife, Debbie Ann Parker; his children, Martin Kenneth Harrison and wife Dawn, Nathan Grady Harrison and wife Adrienne, and Taylor Lewis Harrison; his grandchildren, Trenton and Drew Harrison; and his brothers, Kenneth Alan Harrison and George Clayton Harrison.

Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel Moody Harrison and Kenneth George Harrison.
