Marlin C Davis

Marlin C. Davis passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on August 29, 1936, Marlin was the son of Charles and Vivianne Davis. He is survived by his wife, Ida Mae Payne Davis, sons Kerry and Dane Davis, stepson Jeff Kennedy, and numerous grandchildren. 

As a life-long resident of Baton Rouge, Marlin was a founding owner of Davilco Electric, opening for business in 1968. He also owned and operated the popular Bon Marche popcorn shoppe, Karmelkorn, until he retired in 2000. He was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed spending his time watching games, cooking Italian dishes and relaxing with family and friends. His passion for conversation, and love of trivia and history will be remembered by all who knew him.

Memorial services for Marlin will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of sending flowers, please enjoy a bowl of spaghetti & meatballs, Marlin’s favorite meal, with someone you love in his honor.
