Margie Lee Parks Jones, born November 11, 1940 was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026 surrounded by family.
Margie was the wife of Autry Jones, with whom she shared 49 wonderful years of marriage.
She was a devoted mother to Jeff McKnight, Ike McKnight, Phyllis McKnight Banker (Mike), Robin McKnight Tyler (Tim), and Donnie Burton (Sherri). She also shared a special bond with her loving son-in-law, Walter Bradley.
Margie was the proud grandmother of Jess’lyn McKnight, Phillip McKnight (April), Brandon Walker (Scott), Jacob McKnight, Justin Bradley (Katelyn), Lauren West (Matt), Jeffrey St. Pierre (Jessica), Bryan St. Pierre, Jason Tyler (Ryleigh), and Tyler Burton (Mekenzi).
Her legacy continues through her many great-grandchildren: Gracie, Duece, Hunter, Ava, Trevor, TJ, Tatum, Piper, Andrew, McCaul, Briggs, Breanna, Jordan, Saydie, William, Camryn, Braxton, Gabby, Maddie, Noah, Jax, and Dean.
Margie retired from the United States Postal Service after 31 dedicated years of service. In retirement, she devoted herself to the things she loved most. She found joy in the outdoors and loved traveling, painting, gardening, and quilting.
Her greatest passion was quilting. Margie opened her own shop, “Lily Creek Quilt Shop,” right in her front yard, where she spent countless hours creating beautiful quilts for family and friends. Her shop became a beloved gathering place where friends and loved ones could stop by for coffee, watch her work, and even learn quilting in the classes she lovingly taught. Through her artistry and generosity, she stitched warmth and love into every quilt she made.
Margie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but the love, kindness, and creativity she shared will live on through the family she adored and the many lives she touched.
