Malcolm Lane Aydell Sr.

Malcolm Lane Aydell Sr., a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of Prairieville, LA was called to his heavenly home on September 27, 2026, at the age of 92.

Malcolm graduated from Istrouma High School in 1952. He attended LSU until he went into the Army from 1955 to 1956. He worked for the City Parish of Baton Rouge, LA as a surveyor, before moving onto BASF Chemical Plant, where he retired after 34 years as an Operator.

He was a devoted husband, father; grandfather, and great-grandfather. His greatest joy was his family. He will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and deep faith in GOD.

He is survived by his children Malcolm "Mick" Aydell Jr., Donovan "Don" Aydell and Marla (Billy) Jones; grandchildren Colby, Brock, Amanda (Colton), Seth (Erica), and Mason (Lexi); great-grandchildren Camden, Thomas, Bella, Olivia and Sophia. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Fadrel "Fay" Rita Boudreaux Aydell; parents Jesse Sr. and Irene Cambre Aydell; brother Jesse Aydell Jr; nephew Jason Aydell; and great-nephew Britain Aydell.

Visitation will be held on October 2, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in French Settlement, LA, from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He will be deeply missed, but his love and legacy will live on in all who were blessed to know him.
