Mabel B. Padgett

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Mabel B. Padgett will be 11:00 am Friday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Smoke Bend; wake begins at 10:00 am. Interment at the church cemetery. Mrs. Padgett was born on June 29, 1930 in Donaldsonville and passed from this life on September 17, 2018 at the age of 88 years. She was a devoted caregiver and had a passion for cooking. She especially loved time spent with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Padgett; her first husband, Ellis “E. J.” Landry Jr., daughter, Carol LeBlanc; sons, Gary and Terry Landry; parents, John E. and Clara Ourso Boudreaux; siblings, Thomas and Roland Boudreaux, and Clara Caruso; grandson, Terry Landry Jr. She is survived by her children, Ellis Landry III and Brenda Patin and husband Raymond, Denise Perales and husband John, “special daughter” Jeannette Barber; also survived by seven siblings, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
