Lynn Marie Schexnayder Demeure

Lynn Marie Schexnayder Demeure a native of Gretna, LA, former resident of Santa Barbara, CA and Slidell, LA and current resident of New Orleans, LA, passed away on Monday, June 03, 2024, at the age of 72.  She was born on May 14, 1952, to the late Leonard John, Schexnayder, Sr and Evelyn May Teresa Hebert Schexnayder. Lynn is survived by her loving husband, F. Anthony Demeure , sisters Jane S Soslow (the late Neil), Mary S Kass (Greg), Maria S Roussel (Greg), sisters-in-law Rhonda Lucus Schexnayder; brother, Lucien Bernard Schexnayder (Lila), and brother-in-law , Mano Demeure (Yoddit);  nieces Anne Elizabeth Kreisman Pirrone (Rigel), Christi Lynn Schexnayder Bucci (Mark), Heather Leah Schexnayder Overman (Joshua), Rachel Elizabeth Kass (Donny), Kristen Theresa Kass, Gabrielle Maria Roussel Vaughn (Dylan); nephews David Marion Schexnayder, Jr., Jacob Daniel Schexnayder, Gregory Mark Kass (Ellie), George (Geordy) Vernon Schexnayder Jr., Lucas John Schexnayder, Robert Bernard Schexnayder, Garrett Michael Roussel and Gavin Matthew Roussel, and Brice Demeure. She was Nana Lynn to many great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and brothers Leonard John, George Vernon, David Marion Schexnayder; niece Erica Dana Schexnayder and nephew Brian Michael Cucullu. An avid and passionate genealogist and world traveler, she leaves behind the legacy of an ancestral record back to the seventeenth century complete with many of the photos she took during her travels, and written documentation of the Schexnayder, Hebert, Montecino and Demeure families. 

We will be gathering to share our favorite memories, our stories, to laugh, to cry and to remember Lynn who has touched our lives in so many ways.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Stonebridge Golf Club of New Orleans, 1500 Stonebridge Drive, Gretna, LA, Thursday, June 13, 2024, 2:00 pm-5:00 pm.
