Lynette Terese Anderson

Lynette “Pea” Kelley Anderson, born in Baton Rouge and a resident of Prairieville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the age of 66.

Lynette cherished the 25 years she lived in Grand Isle with her late husband. She spent countless fall hours on the pier catching flounder, though she loved catching speckled trout even more. She also enjoyed camping upriver on the sandbar. She was always ready to travel and rarely passed up an opportunity for a trip or adventure. Above all, she treasured spending time and making memories with her family and friends.

Pea and Harold were truly a perfect match for each other. They deeply loved one another, loved life, and shared many of the same interests. They loved to stay busy — whether it was hosting a cookout at their home, taking a fishing trip to Grand Isle, or attending every single Mardi Gras parade in Metairie — they embraced life and lived it to the fullest.

Although Pea didn’t have any children of her own, she was like a second mother to so many of us. She always made sure to include us in her many adventures and somehow always made time for each of us, making everyone feel special and loved.

Lynette is survived by her beloved nephew, Joshua Holton; her beloved niece, Melanie Holton Foster (Brian); her favorite great-nieces and great-nephews, Isabella Holton, Hazen Foster, Hardi Foster, and Harlen Foster; her brother, Eric Kelley (Becky); her sister, Dara Gautreau (Gary); and her brother-in-law, Lee A. Anderson (Renee).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Anderson, Jr.; her parents, Hardy “HJ” and Doris Kelley; her grandparents, Walter and Bella Kelley and Eugene and Dorothy Powers; and her father- and mother-in-law, Harold J. Anderson, Sr. and Shirley Hoover Anderson.

A private graveside service will take place at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Prairieville.
