Lyle Adkins

Lyle was born in Midkiff West Virginia on March 3, 1954 . He moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1979 . A father to 3 sons Dale Adkins , Lyle Adkins , and Michael Adkins . He married 3 times , Constance L. Dial (mother to Dale) , Cheryl Rambin (mother to Lyle and Michael) and Danya Adkins . In trade school, Lyle learned to weld and became one of the best welders in the state . He retired as a pipe welder .

In retirement he spent his time with motorcycles as a Harley mechanic , he traveled the country in the pit crew of Bad Influence Racing on the AHDRA drag racing circuit racing Nitromethane Harleys . He loved dogs , NASCAR , drag racing and photography . He also loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit a good portion of the USA . He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Adkins and Betty (Mounts) Adkins , oldest brother Larry Adkins and first wife Constance L. Dial . He is survived by his 3 sons , his brothers Bruce Adkins , Dennis Adkins and Lloyd Adkins . His Grandchildren Kimberly Baase , Megan McCord and Cade Flaherty Adkins , and great grandchildren Issac and Everett Basse and Jenson McCord . He passed peacefully in his sleep on June 25 , 2026.
