Louise Sherman Smith

Louise entered the presence of the Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the age of 89. 
 She was a resident of Baton Rouge and born in Good Hope, LA.


 She is survived by her children Gary Smith and wife Lisa; Mark Smith and wife Tutti; grandchildren Garrett Smith and wife Libby; Braxton Smith and Braden Smith; and great grandchild Crosby Smith.  She is preceded in death by husband Charles Malcolm Smith; sisters Joan “Jo Ann” Bossier and Marilyn Kelly; and parents Ralph Harley Sherman and Martha “Babe” Noland Sherman.


 She loved being a church secretary. She began her ministry at Glen Oaks Baptist with Dr. Sam Rushing. Then Trinity Baptist on Plank Road for more than 20 years. To Faith Baptist Church for several years and finally to Lanier Baptist as their Financial Secretary till she retired. 
 Visitation and Service at Redeemer Baptist Church, Baton Rouge. Visitation is Tues. March 12, 5-8pm and Wed. 9-11am with Service at 11am. Graveside at Resthaven Gardens of Memory following service.
