Lois M. “Nanny” Rouyea

Lois M. “Nanny” Rouyea, of St. Amant, LA, was born March 23, 1931, and died on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the age of 92. She was married to the late Herman (Mickey) Rouyea Sr. for 38 years. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, and was a seamstress at Louisiana Garment Factory for 32 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and she loved when all her family visited her. She loved to cook for them. Her kids and grandkids meant everything to her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Rouyea Sr. her father and mother, Ovide and Elpha Templet; her father-n-law and mother-n-law, Sydney and Lucille Rouyea; her siblings, Louis, Lucien, Lawrence, Doyle and Leo Templet. She is survived by her children, Herman Rouyea and Karen (Keith) Babin; her grandchildren, Edmond (Sarah) Rouyea, Eric (Skye) Babin and Brice (Ashli) Babin; her great grandchildren, Emry Rouyea, Reed, Aubree, Barritt, Braysen and Harlen Babin, and Camden Heintz; siblings Ancil (Jeanette) Templet, Doris Moragne, Leon Templet, Charles (Carolyn) Templet and Linda (Danny) Bargas. We would like to thank Clarity Hospice for the amazing love and care she was given. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Holy Rosary Catholic Church St. Amant on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial will follow at the Church Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Eric, Brice, Reed and Braysen Babin, Edmond Rouyea, Joe Paille and Ian Clelland. Honoring pallbearers are Emry Rouyea, Aubree, Barritt and Harlen Babin, Camden Heintz and Carsyn Moran.
