Lisa Laurent Pruitt Switzer, 70, entered the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 13, 2026.

Born on April 22, 1956, Lisa lived her life with unwavering faith, unconditional love, and a servant’s heart. Her greatest purpose was found in her relationship with Jesus Christ and in the family she so dearly loved.

For over 40 wonderful years, Lisa shared a loving marriage with her devoted husband, Gary Switzer. Together they built a home centered on faith, love, and family—a legacy that will continue for generations.

Lisa is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Gary Switzer; her loving daughters, Deanne (Denyer) Garrett, Krissy (Corey) Louque, Sadie (Steven) Guillot, and Lara (Kutter) Cole; her cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Donovan, Harley, Mallory, Kaleigh, Maci, Rylee, Peyton, Greyson, Westyn, Ethan, Terry, Livi, and James; her beloved niece and goddaughter, Ashley (Lee) Poche; her nephew, Lee (Melissa) Roussel; and numerous extended family members and dear friends, especially Sherry LeBlanc, who were blessed to know and love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Laurent and Dorothy Wood Laurent and her first husband, Veral Pruitt.

To know Lisa was to experience genuine love. She was the heart of her family—the pillar that held everyone together and the matriarch whose strength, wisdom, and unwavering faith provided comfort through every season of life. Her kindness knew no limits, her generosity had no boundaries, and her willingness to sacrifice for those she loved was beyond measure. She never hesitated to put the needs of others before her own, offering encouragement, compassion, and a listening ear to anyone in need.

Above all else, Lisa loved Jesus. Her faith was not simply something she believed—it was the way she lived. She trusted God’s plan through every joy and every hardship, finding peace in His promises and sharing His love through her words and actions. She taught her family the importance of faith, grace, forgiveness, and unconditional love, leaving behind a spiritual legacy that will continue to guide them for years to come.

While her family grieves the tremendous loss of her earthly presence, they rejoice in the assurance that she has been welcomed home into the presence of her Savior. They find peace in knowing she has been reunited with those who have gone before her and is now resting in perfect peace with Jesus Christ.

Though our hearts are forever changed, we are grateful for the gift of Lisa’s life. She was more than a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend—she was the foundation of her family, their greatest prayer warrior, and a shining example of Christ’s love. Her legacy will live on in every lesson she taught, every prayer she whispered, every act of kindness she showed, and every life she touched.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and joyfully remembered until the day her family is reunited with her in the presence of the Lord.

“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23
