Linda Montgomery age 73 was born In New Orleans Louisiana and raised in East Baton Rouge, to the late Willie O.D and Percy Montgomery who were residents of Woodville, Mississippi. She was the sixth of ten children. Linda attended Scotlandville High and furthered her education in Cosmetology, at "National Beauty College" in Baton Rouge and received her Diploma on March 03, 1987. Linda passed away peacefully on April 07, 2026 at Heritage Manor of Baton Rouge.
Linda was baptized as one of Jehovah’s witnesses in 1983. Linda attended the Jefferson Ridge Congregation. All who knew Sister Linda, knew that she loved Jehovah and had a deep desire to help others learn the truth about God's promises of a beautiful, peaceful, New Earth where there would be NO more sickness, pain or death.
Linda was the type of person that enjoyed being out in the open- air, so to speak. She loved to ride out visiting with family, and friends. Sitting in the house just was not her thing!
Reflecting on our childhood, our mother, put Linda in the kitchen teaching her how to cook as a young girl. Linda perfected that skill and became a very good cook.
Linda’s expertise in the kitchen was truly evident when you savored her Creole Cooking.
Linda loved all different types of music. (Zydeco,R&B, Blues etc.) she also loved to dance.
(ALL) of Linda's family had a soft spot in her heart. We understood our sister and she will be dearly missed as a LOVING SISTER, FUN-LOVING FRIEND, but most of all, she will be missed as a FAITHFUL SERVANT of JEHOVAH
SEE YOU SOON LINDA as Linda’s most famous words were “Jehovah’s got me”
Linda is survived by her five sisters and their husbands, Anna Gildersleeve (Charles), Pearly Mae Clark, Pamela Gunnells(Donald), Clara Johnson (Wesley), and Alyosia Montgomery along with her nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews and many other family members and many many friends
