Lillian Rose George

  With hearts both heavy and grateful, we remember Lillian Rose George, lovingly known as Rosie/ Rose by friends and family, whose remarkable journey on this earth began on May 18, 1952, and concluded with grace on July 26, 2026. Lillian’s years were filled with light, laughter, resilience, and an abiding faith that illuminated her path and the lives of countless others.

  Born into a world she would so generously brighten, Rosie radiated warmth and love from her earliest days. It is impossible to capture the full breadth of her legacy in words alone, for she was the beating heart of her family—a guiding presence whose affection and devotion were unwavering. Her joy was magnified in the company of those she cherished deeply, and she found her greatest happiness amid the bonds of her beloved family.

  To those honored to know her as mother, Rosie was a source of enduring strength, gentle wisdom, and powerful love. She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Tremeika Shuntel George, and a loving son-in-law, Derrick Collins. Her sons, Vendrel Scott and Robert George, remember her with deep affection—her lessons and laughter forever etched into the fabric of their lives.

  As a grandmother, Rosie sparkled with tenderness and delight. She showered Daejah LaShae George, her granddaughter, with particular affection, finding boundless joy in their time together. Her loving arms also encompassed her grandchildren Jordan Christian George, Shane George, and Bailey Sage George, each of whom was warmed by her embrace and uplifted by her infectious humor. The next generation is blessed by her great-granddaughter, Julz George, whose future will always be brightened by Lillian’s enduring spirit, along with her canine friend, Chloe. 

  Rosie heart also held space and remembrance for those who preceded her in death: her sons, Patrick Shane George and Leon Diaz Scott, whose memories she cherished and whose absence she felt deeply every day.

  Rosie lived her life with an earnest enthusiasm for simple treasures. She delighted in the tranquil promise of early mornings, the melody and poetry of country music, and the irreplaceable joy of dancing. There was laughter in abundance wherever she went, for she possessed an uplifting wit and an irrepressible sense of fun. Watching crime documentaries captured her keen curiosity, while the natural world—its vibrant sounds and picturesque views—provided her with solace and wonder. Above all, Lillian’s faith was the touchstone of her life, an anchor through all trials and triumphs. Her relationship with God and Jesus was her guiding light and source of comfort.

Though the world is quieter in her absence, the legacy of Lillian Rose George will ever resound in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her wisdom, laughter, and steadfast faith endure in her family and all who felt the warmth of her presence. We are richer for having known her, and her spirit will remain timelessly among us.
