Leonard Doyle Crank II

  Leonard D Crank II, “L” or “Poppie” to most; was born Oct 14, 1946, in Stillwater OK. He worked for 43 years for Entergy (formerly Gulf States Utilities) as a lineman and then in the meter department. 

  He was a loving and loyal husband, dad, and friend; a hard worker; and a generous soul. Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and whitewater rafting, basketball, and tennis. Most of all he appreciated time with family and friends, sharing what was his for the enjoyment of others, and watching sports and old westerns. 

  Leonard fought cancer courageously twice before passing peacefully at his home in the early hours of Aug 29th. A great man greatly missed. He is preceded in death by parents Leonard D Crank and Marguerite M Crank, brothers Curtis Crank and Fred McClure, and son Leonard Shea Crank. 

  He is survived by his wife of nearly 61 years and lifelong love Sharon Sharp Crank, daughter Stephanie (Steve) Brockman, brother Eddie (Linda) McClure, grandchildren Tyler Brockman and Victoria (Alex) Derousselle, and great grandchildren Westen and Wren Derousselle, as well as many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, spend time with those you hold most dear.
