Leatus Harold Still of Baton Rouge, LA, and formally of Columbus, MS Passed away on October 12, 2025, after a life marked by devotion to family, education, and community.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Felicia Seales Still of Baton Rouge, LA, and their children Lori Still Fry, (Matt) of Brookhaven, MS, and Ryan Still (Kara) of Baton Rouge, LA. He was the proud grandfather of Jacob Still, Stephen Still, Sarah Fry, and Katherine Fry and great grandfather to Jackson Still.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. and Mrs. L.R. Still Jr. formally of Columbus and survived by a brother, Robert Still of Madison, MS.
Leatus was a graduate of S.D. Lee High Class of 1961, in Columbus and received a bachelor of arts degree in Photo Journalism from The University of Southern Mississippi.
He was an award winning photographer, founding member of the St. George Volunteer Fire Department in Baton Rouge, LA, Served 2 terms on the Columbus City Council, and was active in multiple civic affairs along with being an active Kiwanian in MS and LA for over 50 years. Upon retiring from the photography industry he spent 25 years in education as a substitute teacher.
Graveside services will be held November 22, 2025, @ 10:00 am in Friendship Cemetery in Columbus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church Fire Fund, 8833 Goodwood Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70806, The American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society.
