Larry Paul Bercegeay

Larry Paul Bercegeay, 74 passed away peacefully February 21, 2023, at his residence in Prairieville, Louisiana. He was born on September 16,1948, in Gonzales, Louisiana. He was a proud 1966 graduate of Dutchtown High School. Larry began his lifelong career at ExxonMobil until he retired after 36 years of service. He enjoyed his old cars, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Kathie Clark Bercegeay; three loving sons, Brant and Madison Rose Bercegeay, Blane and Leslie Bercegeay, Bradley Bercegeay and Brittany Barbera; four grandchildren, Madison Bercegeay and Blade Breaux, Paisley Bercegeay, Ganin Bercegeay, and Jordyn Bercegeay; great-grandson, Knox Paul Breaux; siblings, Charlene Parker, and Gregory Bercegeay and wife Susie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Betty Gautreau Bercegeay. Pallbearers will be Mackie Aldridge, Tony Hargroder, Darryl Clark, Jr., Darrell Cornelius, Juston Millet, Raymond Dupuy. Honorary pallbearer will be Pat Melancon and Cecil Broussard. Visitation will be at Saint John Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville on Friday, February 24, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M., celebrated by Fr. Jerry Martin. Burial to follow in Prairieville Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Larry’s honor to Prairieville Cemetery Association or Cancer Society. Church Funeral Service of St. Amant in charge of arrangements.
