Lamartine Brian Gabor

A lifelong resident of Morganza, he died Jan. 28, 2026, at Legacy Nursing Home in Port Allen He was 70, and was an avid history buff, particularly on the Civil War and his hometown. He was a graduate of Morganza High School, and an avid fisherman, and worked as a heavy machine operator. He also served with the Morganza Historical Society. 

He is survived by his wife Angela Daigrepont Gabor; five children: Amanda Willard, Natalie Willard, Daniel Gabor, Damien Nelson and Jennifer Gabor; nine grandchildren: Price and Shelbie Johnson; Michael Martin; Mahaila Willard; Maleaha Colley; Slade Daigrepont; Molly Daigrepont; Madeline Daigrepont and Lilly Zeno, along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held 9 a.m.-noon Feb. 14 at Latanache Baptist Church, Batchelor. A graveside service will be held from 1-2 p.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Morganza.

In lieu of flowers, make any type of donations and flowers to the Latanache Baptist Church.
