Kyle Michael Decoteau, a beloved member of the LaPlace community, passed away on May 12, 2025, at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner, LA. He was born on November 18, 1956, in New Orleans, LA, and lived a fulfilling life dedicated to his work with River Parish Maintenance Company.
Kyle was known for his strong work ethic and his commitment to service, which he carried into both his professional and personal life. As a lifelong resident of LaPlace, he established deep roots in the community and built lasting relationships with friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Decoteau, and stepchildren Michael Green and Bobbie Thompson. Kyle also leaves behind his sisters, Elsie Raymond, Mildred Oliver, Susan Penton, and Tammy Cook, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who cherished him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudine Decoteau, and his parents, Carol and Dale LeBlanc Decoteau. Kyle is also mourned by his late siblings: John Decoteau, Laura Delaneuville, and Meredith Cook.
Kyle Michael Decoteau will be remembered not only for his contributions to his profession but also for the love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
There will be a memorial to celebrate Kyle's life at a later date.
