Kirby "Beanie" Joseph Leader

Kirby “Beanie” Joseph Leader, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Our Lady of the Lake.

He was the son of the late Mercedes Lee LeBlanc, stepfather Mike LeBlanc and Elvin Joseph Leader. A native of Sorrento and a resident of Gonzales for most of his life. He was a pipefitter/welder in the construction industry. A graduate of St. Amant Elementary and High School, UA Local 198, a Louisiana National Guard Staff Sgt and a member of Household of Faith. He was an avid LSU fan and loved fishing and riding his tractor.

He is survived by his spouse of 55 years, Mary Linda Leader; daughter, Tracy Ann Leader Couvillion, husband Marc Couvillion and grandchildren Carter Couvillion, Chandler Couvillion and Claire Couvillion; son, Travis Paul Leader and granddaughter Rylee Kay Leader and grandson, Rex Paul Leader; son, Shane Cody Leader, wife Catherine Pierce Leader and grandchildren, Mary Catherine Leader and Owen Pierce Leader.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, sister, Jenell Boudreaux.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 11:00am at Household of Faith Airline Campus, 10469 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA with Pastor Scott Bledsoe officiating with burial to follow at Mt Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30am until 11:00am at the church.
