  Kevin Joseph LaBauve, “Kev”, was born November 1, 1965, to Kerry and Barbara King LaBauve, and passed away on June 20, 2026, surrounded by his family. Kev was a native of Gretna/Alexandria and resident of Prairieville.

  He was a devoted husband, son, daddy, and “Paran” to all. He loved spending time with his family, watching LSU football and baseball, coaching girls’ softball, and will forever be known as Coach Kev.

  He is survived by his soulmate and wife of thirty-four and a half years, Mindy Powers LaBauve; His two children, Maggie, “Goose”, and Brody LaBauve; His parents Kerry and Barb LaBauve; Sister-in-Law, Denise Powers; Nephew, Zack Powers (Collin); Niece, Maddison Edmonston Francis (Turner); And two Great-Nephews, Brooks and Bennett Francis. He is preceded in death by his Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law, Donald and Minerva Bourgeois Powers; Maternal Grandmother, Virginia Boleware Ward; Maternal Grandfather, Marvin King; And Paternal Grandparents, Virgest and Myrle Walker LaBauve.

  A Celebration of Life will be held at The Church International of St. Amant, 13423 LA-431, St. Amant, LA 70774, on July 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Feel free to wear purple and gold to honor Kev’s love of LSU.

  The family wishes to thank all their family and friends for their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
