Kevin Dale Dowdy, a longtime resident of Livingston Parish, passed away peacefully at the age of 60 on February 21, 2026, with family by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Jo Dowdy; brother, Edward Dowdy, and granddaughter, Olivia Jo Dowdy.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Dowdy; 5 children and spouses, Amy Dowdy, Jareson and Sierra Dowdy, Audrey Plauche, Jacob Guitreau, and Blake and Elizabeth Dowdy; 7 grandchildren, Alexis Oubre, Landon Hollingsworth, Eli Harrison, Everleigh Dowdy, Greyson Dowdy, Caroline Plauche, and Madelyn Plauche; 3 siblings and spouses, Debra Jo and Steve Thornton, Rebecca Way, and Jason Dowdy; 5 nieces, nephews, and spouses, Elisha and Duck Wascom, Denise and Jason Watts, Chris and Ginger Way, Christina Way, and Tyler Dowdy; 10 great-nieces and nephews; 4 great-great-nephews; lifelong friend, Mark Lawrence and longtime friends, Dale and Teresa Poucher.
Thank you to The Crossing at Clarity Hospice and their wonderful staff for the loving care they provided.
A private service to celebrate Kevin's life will be held at a later date.
