A ceremony celebrating the life of Kenneth Ory “K O” Stafford will be held on Monday May 6, 2024, at Revival Temple Church, Walker with the visitation beginning at 9:00 am until time of service at 11am, with Military Honors.

K O Stafford, a resident of Walker, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2024, surrounded by his family and sweet friend at Ochsner Medical Center Baton Rouge. He was born on December 4, 1938, in Evangeline, LA. He was an avid fisherman and reader. He also enjoyed tinkering with his fishing baits and watching NASCAR races. 

He graduated from Walker High School, class of 1957, served his country in the U S Army during the Korean War, and was a very active member of his community prior to retiring. He was a retired millwright, a jack of all trades, and always willing to help family or friends.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, father-in-law, brother, and friend.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Dianne Bunch Stafford, parents Joseph Ory and Camille Lanier Stafford, daughter Charlotte Stafford Borne, siblings Hershell Stafford and Vangie Stafford McClasky, great granddaughters Addie and Grace Duffy, brothers-in-law Bob McClasky, Clarence Bunch and Greg Welch.

Survivors include his daughters Debbie King (Keith), and Tonya Landry (Sam), brother Dwayne Stafford (Rita), sisters-in-law Marsha Burkholder (Burk), Frankie Welch, Kathy Lockhart (Johnny), and Brenda Stafford, grandchildren Shannon King, Justin King (Christina), Brandi Turland (Matthew), Ryan Stewart (Misty) Garett Stewart, Korey Landry (Jennifer), and Kyle Landry (Paige),  great grandchildren Laban, Tyson, Lanie, Samuel, Cammy, Emmy, Malin, Cooper, Max, Nathaniel, Savannah, Collins, and Jude, also survived by his sweet friend Louise Barksdale Melton and a host of nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the team of ICU Nurses (Lori, Taylor, and Tara), the E R Doctor and Dr. Robyn Boedefeld of Ochsner Medical Center of Baton Rouge, for the medical care and love given to him and his family.
