Kathy K. Gerald

A ceremony celebrating the life of Kathy K. Gerald will be held on Tuesday May 30, 2023, at Magnolia Christian Assembly, 16415 Magnolia Bridge Road, Baton Rouge, with visitation beginning at 9 am until time of service at 11 am. Interment will follow at Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. Kathy was born on October 22, 1953, in Baton Rouge, La to the union of the late Harry E. Kinchen and Anne Rae Straulb Kinchen Hanner, and passed from this life on Wednesday May 24, 2023, at the age of 69 years. She was a resident of Denham Springs, a homemaker, and a faithful Christian. She enjoyed pageants, visiting with family, an avid football fan of LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints, and especially bossing Donney! Her passion was time spent with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Alexis Chandler, siblings Tracy Cooper, Wilton Harris Jr., and Ivan “Bubba” Kinchen, nephew Curtis Harris, and son-in-law Russ Hernandez. Survivors include her devoted husband Donney C. Gerald, children Mikey White, Ed White, Brandon Trafficano, Tessa Greer, Jesse Greer, Mickey Young, and Denver Johnson; siblings Ruby Harris, Patricia Fernandez, Theresa Burch, Judy St. Pierre, and Dan Gerald, also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, her canine companion “Sassy”, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
