Kathryn “Kathy” Raye

Kathryn Clark Raye, age 74, passed away on July 8th 2023 with her family by her side. Kathryn, known by many as, “Kathy” was married to her husband, Kenny Raye, for 52 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and a longtime member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. While at St. Isidore, she was active in the Home and School Association and regularly attended Adoration.

Kathy was born in Alexandria, La where she spent most of her young life riding horses. After training her own, she began to compete in barrel racing and pole bending events. As a young adult, she rode Hunter Jumper horses where she showed at many American Quarter Horse Shows. When she wasn’t riding horses, her love of them was taught to her children and countless others who went on to compete at different levels of competition.

Kathryn is preceded by her parents, Neil and Anne Clark.

She is survived by her husband Kenny, son Ken Jr. (Jessica), Daughter Kay, Granddaughters Krystal and Kathryn Raye, BriAnna McRae and Grandsons Levi and Jesse Raye.

Family and Friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Rd. Baton Rouge, La. From 9-11am on Tuesday, July 18th with Mass of Christian burial at 11am. There will be a rosary at 10am. The burial will take place at 1pm at the Louisiana National Cemetery 303 W. Pleasant Rd. Zachary, La 70791
