Kasey Renee Austin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kasey Renee Austin on May 29, 2026.

Kasey was a beloved daughter, niece, cousin, and friend whose life touched the hearts of many. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be remembered for the joy, kindness, and love she brought to those fortunate enough to know her.

Kasey was preceded in death by her father, Don Austin; her maternal grandparents, Horace and Mary Pitre, Sr.; and her paternal grandparents, Hansel Hines Austin and Lizadee Marie Mayeaux Austin.

She is survived by her loving mother, Rosalie Pitre Austin, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will cherish her memory forever.

Though her time with us was far too brief, we are grateful for every moment we shared with her. The memories she leaves behind will be treasured forever, and the love she gave will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

While we mourn her passing and will miss her dearly, we find comfort in our faith, knowing that Kasey now rests peacefully in the loving arms of Jesus.

Her father, Don Austin, often said that she was "only on loan," a reminder that every moment with her was a precious gift. Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we are thankful for the time we were blessed to have with her and take comfort in knowing she is at peace.

“You may be gone from our sight, but you are never gone from our hearts. Rest in peace.”

Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane, Baton Rouge, LA, 70816, on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 10AM until NOON. Mass to begin at NOON. Interment to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge.
