Karen was born on November 2, 1949, to her loving parents, Cecil and Betty Russell, in New Orleans. Karen was a loving, caring, and remarkable soul and her gentle radiance continues to emanate through the lives of her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Patrick Laurent, and dedicated mother to her three children, Andrea, Michelle, and Patrick. Karen was a doting grandmother, always proud to speak about her three grandchildren, Andre, Cezanne, and Ethan, to anyone she met. Her family meant the world to her, and her love and support was unwavering. In her free time, Karen enjoyed gardening, reading, and caring for her beloved pet, Bella. She had a deep appreciation for nature and a keen sense of adventure. Her enthusiasm for life was infectious, and she encouraged others to embrace every moment. Karen’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and selflessness that will continue to inspire others for generations to come.
