Karen F. Bell, born on September 10, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Karen leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and steadfast dedication to her family and community.

Karen’s life was marked by an unwavering devotion to her loved ones and a deep-rooted faith. A proud and strong Christian woman, Karen’s beliefs were evident in every aspect of her life. She lived each day with kindness, strength, and confidence, standing firm in her truth and instilling those same values in her family.

Her professional life reflected her commitment to service, as she worked as an alarm dispatcher for Acadian Ambulance for nearly 20 years. Through her steady presence and reliable hand, she contributed greatly to the well-being of her community, offering assistance during moments of need.

Karen’s spirit of service extended beyond her career. For 15 years, she volunteered at St. Anthony, selflessly giving her time to support various community outreaches. Her generous heart touched many, and her efforts will be remembered by all who benefitted from her kindness.

Family was the center of Karen’s world, and she took immense pride in keeping her family together, ever the matriarch. She cherished every moment spent with those she loved, from everyday gatherings to special celebrations. Her home was a place of warmth and unity, where traditions were honored—she insisted that prayers were always said before every meal, a testament to her faith and her desire to bring her family together in gratitude.

Karen is survived by her loving children, daughter Sharon Bell and "son" Tod Gray; her grandchildren Christina Tisdale (Andre), Jared Tisdale, Alex Tisdale, Kieran Bell, and Katelyn Delaune (Byron). She also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchildren: Emerson Delaune, Wells Delaune, Azaeleah Guidry, Simaya, and Malachi Charlot. Each of them carries forward her legacy of love and faith.

She is preceded in death by her son, Greg Bell, and daughter, Riana Bell, who are remembered with deep affection.

Karen F. Bell’s presence will be dearly missed, but her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her deep faith, her unwavering support, and her love for her family and community will be treasured forever.
