Juliette Leonor Fontaine Grau

Juliette Leonor Fontaine Grau passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 surrounded by her family and beloved dogs. She went by Julia, but was known to her family and friends as “Cucu,” and to her grandchildren as “Lala.” 

Julia was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her daughter, Georgina Grau Lemoine, and son, George Grau, Jr., son-in-law, Chad Lemoine, and daughter-in-law, Stacy Landreth Grau; grandchildren, Juliette, Jonathan, and Jace Lemoine, Eleanor and Madelyn Grau; brother, Remy Fontaine, and sister-in-law Maria Fontaine; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Julia was preceded in death by her husband, George Grau, and her parents, Dolores and Remy Fontaine. 

Visitation will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11441 Goodwood Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70815, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 11 am until Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Father Matthew Dunn will be officiating.
