Julia Naquin Lapeyrouse was born on September 27, 1970, in Houma, La. After exhibiting exemplary courage and strength while facing lung cancer, she found eternal peace surrounded by family and friends on May 5, 2025.
Julia was a bright light for all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey through this world was characterized by her kindness to others, lighthearted demeanor, and love of cats.
Julia is survived by her loving and equally courageous wife, Amy Patureau; daughter, Kayla; grandchildren, Avery and Harper; siblings, Sterling (Lesa), Clayton (John), Darren (Chesley), and Elaine (David); and cats, Oliver and Riley. She was predeceased by parents, Kathleen and Roy; and cats, Nacho, Mason, and Wilhelmina.
Outside of her fulfilling work as a fertility sonographer, Julia found joy in nature, creativity, family and friends, traveling, reading, plants, and cats. She will be remembered for her genuine smile, warmth, and wit. She had a gift for making others feel welcome and delighted in creating a nurturing home.
Julia will continue to inspire and uplift us. Her light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
