Jules Arbour "Bo" LaBauve Sr., born May 19, 1930, in Baton Rouge, passed away on May 24, 2026, in Gonzales. A lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Jules dedicated much of his life to his community and faith.
He had a deep love for hunting and fishing, pastimes that brought him great joy throughout his years. His connection to nature and the outdoors was a defining aspect of his character.
Jules is survived by his son, Jules A. "T-Bo" LaBauve Jr.; his brother, John A. LaBauve Jr.; four grandchildren—Jacob Wayne, Claire Marie, Houston Brock, and Carson Fisher—and two great-grandchildren, Heath and Harrison. They carry on his legacy and remember him for the steady presence he provided.
He was preceded in death by his father, John A. LaBauve Sr.; mother, Marie Arbour LaBauve; wife, Molly Jean Lockwood; daughter, Beverly Jean LaBauve; sisters, Marie Stagg, Juanita Mattingly, and Winnifred Landry; and brother, Thomas Wilfred LaBauve.
Jules Arbour LaBauve Sr.’s life was marked by commitment—to family, faith, and his passions—and he will be remembered with respect and sincerity for the man he was.
A memorial service to honor Mr. Bo's memory will be held at a later date.
