Judith M. Babin entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge at 11:05 am, very peacefully surrounded by family. Born and raised in Sorrento, LA; later became a long resident of Lake, LA. She was 83 years old, and married to Gary Babin for 62 years this June 16th. The 4th daughter of Philomene LeBlanc and Louis Villnuve of Sorrento. She loved being a School Bus Driver for 25 years with Ascension Parish School Board and she enjoyed retirement and working in her flowers beds until becoming ill.
Visitation will be at The Church International in St. Amant, 13423 Hwy 431, St. Amant, LA, 9:30 am until funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Hwy 30 Gonzales, LA.
Preceded in death by parents, Philomene and Louis Villnuve; her daughter, Tami M. Babin; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Elnora Trabeau Decoteau, Joseph Trabeau, Allen Decoteau, Hazel V. Lee, Sammie Melancon and William Frank Melancon; and nephews, Kenneth Melancon and Kerry Trabeau.
Survived by her husband, Gary Babin; her children, Tyra Anne Babin McCoy and husband John Randall McCoy, and Tregg Anthony Babin, Sr.; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Edmond "Bibby" Lee; 3 nieces, Jackie Fife, Debbie Trabeau, Peggy Melancon; and 2 nephews, Grady Melancon, Don Fife.
The Family would like to thank the EMS, 1st Responders of Galvez-Lake FD, ER and Trauma and ICU Staff at OLOL BR, Feliciana Home Health; Church Funeral Services, The Church International in St. Amant, and family and friends who come to our aid on Memorial Day Incident.
