Judy Louise Boudreaux Trahan, passed away peacefully at home on March 20, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born March 4, 1947, Judy had many interests. She was a true “people person” who thrived on being with other people whom she truly loved. She worked in nursing homes where she improved the lives of the residents. She worked with different volunteer organizations, including the Pilot Club and the Exchange Club. Her home was a refuge for stray animals - some, she adopted - and she donated regularly to rescue organizations. She developed a love of the theater in school. In addition to attending performances whenever and wherever possible, she was on the Board of Directors at the Baker Little Theatre, where she also worked backstage and performed. She was a master gardener and an avid reader, particularly fond of James Lee Burke and John Grishum.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alvey and Ruby Boudreaux and is survived by her husband, Donald Trahan, cousins and her many friends who were also her family.
May she now rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty of a garden only heaven could grow—free to plant as many flowers as she likes.
