Jude Paul Anthony Hibbs

On Monday, February 13, 2023, Jude Paul Anthony Hibbs, loving husband, father, brother, uncle and nephew passed away at the age of 46. Jude was born on April 21, 1976 in Metairie, Louisiana to Gerald and Antoinette Lovoi Hibbs. He was an Archbishop Rummel High School alum. He received his Culinary Degree from Delgado Community college in New Orleans, Louisiana. He then went on to become a police officer with Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Department (JPSO), from there he transferred to St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Department (SCPSO). Jude finished his service with Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Department (LPSO). Jude retired from service in 2017. He was married to Mitzi Jeanne’ Couvillion for the last 10 years, together they had a daughter, Ava Grace Hibbs. Jude had a passion for cooking, the outdoors, and his family and friends. Jude is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Joseph Hibbs; and his mother Antoinette Hibbs. He is survived by his wife, Mitzi; daughter, Ava; sister, Gina Ristel Hibbs Woodhouse; brother in law, Brian Woodhouse; brother, Joshua Gerald Hibbs; stepson, Casey Martin; aunts, cousins, and many nieces and nephews; as well as his beloved puppies, Duke and Riley. Jude will be deeply missed and will be remembered as the life of the party by the many lives he touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 6500 Kawanee Ave, Metairie LA, on Thursday, February 23, 2023; beginning with visitation at 10:00am with a funeral mass to follow at 12:00pm.
