Juanita Martin Fenley, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the age of 81.

A native of Lutcher, Louisiana, and longtime resident of Gonzales, Louisiana, Juanita had a gift for making others feel valued and loved. Her family was the center of her world, and the relationships she built and nurtured were her greatest treasure.

Juanita lived a life rooted in faith, compassion, and service. She devoted her time to many ministries, including religious education, hospital chaplaincy, and clown ministry, always seeking to bring comfort, hope, and joy to others. Her home was a gathering place for family and friends, filled with laughter, meaningful conversation, and unconditional love.

She will be remembered for her gentle wisdom, caring heart, and bright smile. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was loving and caring for her family.

She is survived by her children, Gordon Fenley (Shalane), Jerry Fenley, Jr. (Wendy), Cynthia Fenley Lavigne (Chuck), and Seth Fenley; her grandchildren, Madelynn Fenley (Sam), Kellsey Fenley, Kaitlynn Fenley (Jon), Hayden Fenley (Brooke), Celeste Fenley Ducote (Dylan), Kyron Lavigne, and Koby Lavigne; six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Kathleen Michel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Leon Fenley, Sr.; her parents, Gordon J. Martin and Doris Haydel Martin; her son, Guy Fenley; and her granddaughter, Amanda Fenley.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 44450 LA-429, St Amant, LA 70774; beginning at 8:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Hope Haven Mausoleum. Family and friends are invited to a reception at Holy Rosary Church after the burial.
