Miss Joy Louise Pace, age 50, passed away on June 4, 2024. Joy resided on Pace Road in West Monroe, Louisiana. Born April 3, 1974, Joy was the child of Scotty Henry Pace Sr. and Sherry Turner-Pace. She attended Northeast Louisiana University and then worked as a medical insurance coder at an orthopedic center. Later in life, she found her passion as a breeder of Shar Pei dogs and jokingly referred to herself as a dog mother.
Joy adored spending time with family and friends and taking care of animals. Her love for reading and books was unmatched, and she had a fondness for all types of music. Always up for a good debate on any subject, she was firmly convinced that her opinion was the right opinion. She also loved participating in endless activities at Kiroli Park and watching movies while feeding her insatiable sweet tooth.
Joy is survived by her three brothers: Scotty Pace, Mark Pace, and Adam Pace; two sisters-in-law: Tracy Pace and Kathryn Pace; her aunt, Carolyn Butler; nine nieces and nephews: Scotty Pace III, Tray Johnson, David Pace, Alysa Pace, Grace Pace, Colleen Pace, Abigail Pace, James Pace, and Jordan Pace; and many beloved cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Cheniere Baptist Church, located at 101 Cheniere Baptist Church Road in West Monroe. Pastor Bodie Spicer will be presiding over services.
Visitation will be held for friends and family starting at 12:00 p.m., and the memorial service will begin at 1:30 p.m.
Flowers or arrangements can be sent to the church in care of Mark and Adam Pace.
