Joseph A. Hager, a retired contract laborer, was born on August 4, 1955, at the Patuxent Naval Air Station in Patuxent River, Maryland. He passed away peacefully at his home in Gonzales, Louisiana, on September 1, 2025, after a courageous fight against a lengthy illness.
Joseph's life was marked by dedication and resilience, both in his career and in the way he faced life's challenges. He was a loving partner to Tina Lambert and a stalwart father to his sons, Tony and Austin Hager. Joseph was proud of his family and cherished the times spent with them.
He is survived by his loving partner, Tina Lambert; his children, Anthony and Austin Hager; and his siblings, including Elaine Millet (Gary), Shirley Hayden, Robert Hager (Darlene), Deborah Carson (John), Patricia Benfield, and Edward Hager (JoAnn) and Lloyd Milburn (Lena), as well a host of numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Each of them carries forward the memories and love that Joseph imparted during his life.
Joseph is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Brandy Hager, and his parents, Cecil and Elizabeth Hager. Their influence can be felt in the values and strength Joseph passed on to his family.
Joseph A. Hager will be remembered not only for his work ethic but also for his warmth and kindness. He leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and dedication that will continue to inspire his family and friends.
