Johnnie Walter Hanna

September 24, 1978 — December 11, 2023

Walker, Louisiana

JOHNNIE WALTER HANNA, a resident of Walker, LA, was guided by the Angels of the Lord to his eternal Heavenly home on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the age of 45.   He is survived by his loving

parents, Phillip and Cheryl Hanna of Walker, previously of St. Amant; an Uncle, Johnny Ray Hanna; an

Aunt, Mary Kay Hanna Brandon; and sisters, Rebecca (Todd) Acosta, Rachael (David) Simpson and Randi

(Mackal) Acheson.

Johnnie is predeceased by his biological mother, Evelyn Murray Hanna; paternal great grandparents,

Johnnie Walter and Georgia Hanna; paternal grandparents, John Ray Hanna and Mary Anna Perez Hanna; an Uncle Mark Dean Hanna, and a nephew, Christian Acosta.

The Lord granted his parents prayers in that Johnnie had one breath here and one breath in heaven, to live eternally with his Father, completely having been made whole. Our season of mourning has ended.

We rejoice because the battle is over, and the victory has been won. Jesus is Lord.  Through 45 years of much struggle, in his last days, Johnnie humbled himself and surrendered his life to the Lord and received JESUS as HIS LORD and SAVIOR.  Finishing the race strong.  His end was much greater than his beginning.

All may offer condolences personally or through the online guestbook below.

The family offers sincere appreciation for the compassionate care and love of Christ extended through St. Joseph In patient Hospice staff for their comfort and medical care.  We are most appreciative for Chaplain Mike Chiapetta’s tender gift of spirit and soul care, tenderly laboring in prayer and ministering the Word of God over Johnnie.  Johnnie called out as long as he had voice  for His Heavenly Father to come and receive him, even lifting the top half of his body off the bed in doing so.  We rejoice in the goodness of the Lord.  Our prayers have all been answered, he finally arrived.

2 Corinthian 5:8  We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.  Psalm 127 v3-4  Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD; and the fruit of the womb is his reward.  As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Johnnie's name are accepted for St Jude Children's Hospital,  stjude.org/donate
