John S. LeBlanc, 71, of St. Amant, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2026, after a courageous seven-year battle with cancer. Born on March 15, 1955, in Gonzales, Louisiana, John was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a man whose strength, faith, and love for his family never wavered. On August 27, 1983, John married the love of his life, Rebecca Baluch LeBlanc. For 42 beautiful years, theirs was a love story built on unwavering devotion, friendship, laughter, and faith. “Forever My Love” was the promise they lived every single day. He was a dedicated employee at Innophos Inc. of Geismar, LA for over 21 years. He fought his illness with courage and grace, always placing his trust in the Lord and remaining a source of strength for those around him until the very end. Through every hardship and every triumph, Rebecca stood faithfully beside him, and together they created a family surrounded by love.
John leaves behind his beloved wife, Rebecca LeBlanc; his children, Jason L LeBlanc (Shanel), Jolie LeBlanc Young (Clay), Christopher L. DeArmond, and Lori D. Sheets; and his grandchildren, Teague Sheets, Isabella Sheets, Jonah LeBlanc, and Adele LeBlanc. John is also survived by his sisters, Veronica LeBlanc and Mickie LeBlanc Ricca (Barry); Stepmother Evelyn LeBlanc, stepbrother, Ralph Leak, and stepsisters Margaret Ricca (Russ) and Robin Leak; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John E. LeBlanc; his mother, Latta Edmonston LeBlanc; and his mother-in-law, June Lyons Baluch. John’s family will forever remember his strength, his gentle heart, his deep love for those closest to him and his absence will leave a space that can never truly be filled.
A graveside service honoring John’s life will be held at a future date at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, 604 E. Highway 30, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737.
